OTSIS provides all the comprehensive membership benefits you would expect from an indemnity scheme, including a contract of insurance and a 24/7 medico-legal advisory service providing expert assistance with all the problems that can arise in your professional practice.
The limit of indemnity on your OTSIS policy can be either £10 million for each and every claim and in the annual aggregate or £5 million for each and every claim and in the annual aggregate. Both of these satisfy the requirements set by the independent hospitals and provide the level of protection expected by our members and their patients.
You can be assured that when you need it, help is at hand from specialists who will understand the problem, surgical practice and how best to proceed.
OTSIS is currently unable to consider applicants whose practice includes spinal surgery or provides treatment for elite professional sportsmen and women.
The Sports and Exercise Medicine Professional Indemnity Scheme (SEMPRIS) is available for medical professionals involved in the treatment and care of elite professional sportsmen and women.
